Loop De Lou Blog

This is a story all about how our office got twisted upside down (a little shout out to the Fresh Prince)

I know that you haven't heard from me in a while and I must say that I am truly sorry. Ok, well I'm not that sorry, I've been really busy. But I sure have missed you. And I know that you must have missed me.

I'm not sure how you've been able to keep your motivation up without these fine blog posts. No fear....I am here for today. (As a side note, remember those "No Fear" t-shirts?!?! I had like three of them and a "No Fear" back pack...yeah, I've always been cool).

Anyway....
This last week in the land of LoopDeLou, I decided that we should redecorate our office. Now, this wasn't a decision that was made hastily. No, not at all. We started discussing this little venture back in January. That would be seven months ago. But it's hard to find the time to do that when all of you people keep ordering stuff. Golly. Give us a break already. (Ok, so that was TOTALLY a joke, we love you and please keep the orders coming).

Anyway, I was sitting at the computer on Tuesday. I had finished all the orders for that day and suddenly I was overcome with a need to organize and clean. I love it when this happens. I really need it to happen when I'm at my own house and not the LDL office, but as it would be it happened at work. So I harnessed that redecortating energy and focused it on cleaning and rearranging and organizing. TLC would have been so proud.

At first I was just going to organize our shipping room and hang up some cute little clear organizing tray thingys (techinal term for "binds" FYI). But then Allie emerged and said "Why not move the shipping room and the computer room before Christmas sales hit".

This is what we had talked about doing for the last seven months. So, I thought that was a great idea. So I started moving furniture, tables, binds, shelves, and paperclips (the last one being the most difficult obviously). And I must tell you this because I need A LOT of sympathy.....I did all of it myself. I'll pause for all the applausing I'm sure you are doing at this very moment.

Allie had some guests coming over and it was 5:00 in the evening, and all the other LoopDeLou'ers have kiddos and can't drop things in an instant to come to my beck and call (although that would be my ideal situation...those stinkin kids..). So I lifted and moved, and sweated, and rearranged, and got the entire back room cleaned out.

The next day Jill and her husband William and Allie all came to help. So I can't take credit for the whole opperation. But we did get all situated and all organized. Now we are ready for the orders to start pouring in. So bring it! And the office is much cuter I think. Which is of the utmost importance. We can't really work in an environment that's not cute. That would just be wrong. Wrong I tell you.

I would post some pictures, but we haven't exactly gotten everything put back in its place yet. So I wouldn't want you to judge us. Just know, that it's cute and functional and organized. You can rest a little easier tonight.

Also, I have a surprise for you.....ready.....are you excited???

Starting today 8-13-07 and running through next Tuesday 8-20, we are giving away a free set of thank you cards to anyone who orders off the site. This is what you have to do....in the "other instructions" box on your order you will need to type the mega secret code "blog give away cards". If you do that, then there will be a free set of cards included with your order. I know, I know. It's all just too exciting. It's just our little way of saying thanks (and my way of making your read the blog!)
